Idaho Fish and Game has set September 8 as the new opening date for permit holders. Access remains closed until then. Obtain a permit from the Panhandle Regional Office during regular business hours.
WDFW still says Knowles Road is temporarily closed even though its anticipated September 1 opening date has passed. Wait for confirmation before using the road.
The revised BLM order keeps mapped areas closed, with September 19 at 11:59 p.m. as the anticipated end. County-maintained roads through the fire perimeter are open, but two-track roads off them remain closed. All off-road motorized travel is prohibited.
The five-day opening runs through September 8 with a two-fish limit. Release Chinook and wild coho, and stay outside the defined nearshore closure.
